Does This Cape Make My Butt Look Fat?

It’s been a busy week for us.

My wife noticed that a stoplight near our neighborhood was malfunctioning and sprang into action. She contacted the City of Sammamish and got the required repair forms submitted. All of them.

Meanwhile, the app I use on my indoor bike trainer stopped working. So, I filed a detailed bug report that included a complete stack trace of the offending code. I did not add any additional commentary about the integrity of their release process. Or lack thereof.

Both issues have since been resolved.

Now, I don’t want to say which of us helped humanity most here, but one of us got a personal thank-you email from a software engineer named Adrienn—and the other did not.
