Just the Facts

My 5th-grader had to write a persuasive research paper on the advantages of same-sex schools. He included a lot of great points, like “. . . boys are sometimes trying to impress the girls so they will try to act funny and this ends up getting them in trouble.”

So true.

He then noted that traditional schools are difficult for everyone because “There are many amazing changes the body goes through, but it takes time to go through those stages. During that time, it’s called being a teenager.”

Indeed — No one should be subjected to teenagers.

My favorite part, though, was the bibliography. He opted to include himself as a reference since “all of the good facts” came out of his own head.

Seems legit, though I should probably ask to read that journal of his.
